Levi's First Birthday!

Here we are at 1 day left, after anxiously awaiting our trip to celebrate Levi's 1st birthday,
where we were on Heidi and Erin's first birthday in 1987....a tradition continues!!

The time comes for each one to have their own "ears".... now Levi is a mouseketeer, too!
Our adventure begins in Fantasyland, and here we are for our very first Teacups ride!

Levi finds the horses on the carrousel magnificent and a joy to behold!

Our ride on Dumbo was slightly more demanding; we adjusted to circular movement
as well as vertical.  Levi chose to focus on controlling the lever as opposed to
the blurred images of all we were passing by.  We also enjoyed Casey Jr, Storybookland,
Small World, Snow White, Pinnochio, Peter Pan and Mr. Toad.

Frontierland is also one of our very favorite lands.  We enjoyed the canoes, the Pooh ride,
the ship Columbia, yummy food at the Hungy Bear, and napped while the big guys did
Thunder Mountain and Splash Mountain lots and lots of times.

Here we are at the Golden Horseshoe, having been entertained by Billy Hill and his
Hillbillies.  Whoa!  Someone just smacked a big kiss on Levi's left cheek! I know who
did it, but I'm not telling!
Another day and more Pooh.  One can never have enough Pooh in their life!
Birthday Dinner, family-style!  Mama Heidi, Gamma Paula, Grandpa Pete, Grandma Barb, Aunt Bethany, Good Friend Joe, and Papa Chris.
Heidi and I waiting for the Christmas Parade!

Visiting with Jolly Old Santa in the log cabin at Thunder Ranch.
Heidi and I with Levi on our patio at the Annabella Hotel before another trek into Disneyland.
We enjoyed three wonderful days and stuffed ourselves with the amazing homemade goodness of Polly's Pies before our return drive home.

Our trips to Disneyland are never complete without seeing our friend Chris Thompson at the Candy Palace. Heidi and Erin have been amazed by his creations since their noses could barely reach the bottom of his window! A few years ago his "Homemade" candy canes were featured on Guy Fieri's Disney Holiday show! This is a photo of all of us in group hug a few years ago. Below is a photo of those amazing candy canes in progress. They are in high demand and many consider them a rare treasure. I would have to say the  three of us consider Chris our rare treasure!
